Wire broke to pull recliners open

I bought my sectional in Macy's in 07 it's just me and my husband living here both of the pulls you use to open the recliners on my couch have snapped we called. Macy's several times and they told me they don't repair this , I. Also have a worry free contract for seven years and they say they don't cover it I would have never paid so much for this. Couch if I knew this . who and how do I get this repaired we can't open the recliners anymore. The broken wires in couch are very sharp.   Yours truly Mrs. M Sackstein
