Bally's misleading me about membership

I get an ad from Bally's asking me to sign up for $9.99 a month. I think that's reasonable so I go to my local center to sign up. The young lady behind the counter asks me if I've been a past member and say I have been, but it's probably been 8 years since. So she gets the great idea to renew my membership rather than sign me up for $9.99 per month and she is able to save me $20 for the year. I say great! So a couple of days later, when I have a day off from work, I go to Bally's to get a workout and the same young lady who just signed me up tells me I can only work out Wednesday, Friday or Sunday because I renewed the same limited membership I originally had with Bally's. I work weekends and if she had mentioned that when she "renewed" my membership, I would not have agreed to this renewal. Then she tells me to call contact their membership services to either cancel or see if I can upgrade my membership. I have been trying for two days now to speak with someone at Bally's member services without success. I just held for 66 minutes without success. And now I remember why I signed up with 24 Hour Fitness all those years ago instead of renewing with Bally's: It's their complete of customer- or member-service.
