Thrifty did not have a car for my mother even though she had a reservation

2 Weeks ago I arranged travel for my mother from Texas to Florida, and a return trip. Along with the flight, this included car rental and hotel. I arranged this with Expedia. They packaged her trip with the Thrifty agency as providing the car rental. When my mother arrived there late yesterday evening the agent at the Thrifty Counter told her that he did not have a car for her. He could not give her a reason for not having her car and simply said that she would have to call back in the morning to talk with the manager.
This is completely unacceptable. I do not appreciate making these arrangements for my mother and for her to then arrive and not have a car to drive to her hotel.
She then had to spend $40 for a cab to the hotel, as well as another $40 for a cab back to another car rental at the airport to obtain a car this morning. This time I arranged her car rental with an agency that I have used in the past and have great experiences with.
Then when I attempt to call Thrifty this morning I can only find a 877 number, was told that I cannot be connected to talk with the manager at the location my mother went to, and that my mother would have to wait until the end of her trip to talk with Thrifty so that you could complete an investigation.
The fact that on top of you not having a car for her last night that I cannot find out today why this happened and that I have to wait for an investigation after her trip just adds insult to injury.
This was my first experience with Thrifty, and my LAST.
