Offering free money as a scam.

My fathers GF got a call from this number and the lady wanted her social security number.  She claimed to be a "social worker" who wanted to help people out financially.  She also wanted to know how much money was earned, how much rent was, and what bank was used.  She did not ask any questions about how many people were in the home or how much money was needed to get by.  It was a total scam.  IDK who this woman is.  She stated that her name was Lydia Barron.  Does anyone know who the hell this is?
