Harassing phone calls

Another example of a company that hires individuals who's only skill is to engage in harrassing phone calls.

The employee Jerry Williams is a typical bill collector. Lacking in intelligence and substance and any ability to reason. I have called this joker back and instucted him not to call me at work. The bill in question is not my bill and I made that perfectly clear. He returned my call and I again called him back to reiterrated m position.

He attempted to make futile threats. Apparently he does not realize how insignificant I consider him and the company he works for. (TRS)

I have know a few individuals who have worked in this business they got out quickly so that they could live with a clear conscience. At the time it was the only type of job that they could get until they werer educated and master skills that were of real value.

The only reason I am taking the time to enter this complaint is to provide anyone who has the miosfortune of having to deal with this company or individual. The number is 1-800-697-9074.

You told him to cease calling you, and you told him to not call you at work.  All calls after that were violations of FDCPA, since TRS is a debt collector under federal and state laws.

You can sue TRS as well as their employee for violating the law.

First send them written notice to cease calling you about their alleged debt that is not your account.  Indicate that you have never received any written communications from them, and demand that they provide proof of any debt they claim you owe.

Also file a complaint with your state Attorney General against them for violating your request to cease calling you, including that they continued to call you at work despite your request not to.

If you have any further problems, and particularly if they either demand payment or put negative information on your credit reports for some debt you do not owe, contact an attorney in your state with experience in FDCPA litigation, as they have already violated federal and state debt collection laws.

I had also dealt with this person. He is very unintelligent. He calls me all the time and harasses me as well. He freaks out if I don't return his phone calls because I am at work and I am unable to answer my phone. He's also probably made changes to my account as well and I ask to speak to a manager every time he calls. He refuses to put through to speak to one. He had put me through one time and I went straight to a voice mail message. Also he told me that I could have my mother call him as well and he hung up on her. I don't have all the money to pay him back right out front because I was in the process of switching jobs and my car decided to break down. Honest mistake. He was making me so angry that I was shaking and all I wanted from this man was to answer me straight instead of hassling me like he has done. I mean this should be illegal to do to somebody because no one should be mistreated like this for an honest mistake. I'm sorry that I got my car fixed because my driver's side tire was about to fall off my car and I didn't want to put anybody else and myself into danger while I was driving. I understand that my check didn't go through. I would of liked to make a payment plan because I was willing to pay him back, but no it had to be done up front and of course I don't have that kind of money. He said that I was harassing him but the truth is if you heard the way he was talking to me than you would understand. He is the most RUDEST AND DISRESPECTFUL human being that I had ever spoken to on the phone and I never want to deal with him ever again. He also wanted me to open a credit card just to pay him back. I do not believe in opening credit cards and I am entitled to my own opinion. I really needed my car to be fixed. I just moved out of my mother's house. I live two hours away from her and both of our work schedules are crazy and I have no way of ever getting down there or her coming up here. So it is impossible for her to help me out. I had a job interview the day after I got my car fixed. It wouldn't of looked good if i said, "Hey I can't make to the interview because my car broke down." I mean that's horrible. Now I am proud to say I did get that job. I am a Best Buy Customer Service Specialist. The only thing that I am upset about is this whole situation with Jerry Williams. Now I am in debt. I am working so hard to get out of it because I am only 20 years old.

I also just found out that when I asked him for an address that he gave me the wrong one. Would I be able to sue them for false information?

Scam call from 800-697-9074.  Probably trying to get bank routing numbers.  Caller self-identified as Jerry Williams, supposedly with TRS Recovery.  He said that my check to KMart didn't go through; offered lame mumble about maybe computer didn't scan numbers correctly.  He wanted $800.40.   I think he was going to ask me for routing numbers for my bank, or at least for me to mail a check to him.   I asked what bank the check was drawn from; he said, Fresno County Employees Credit Union.  I asked for their number and he said it was 559-252-000.   That number appears to be correct according to quick google.  I never wrote a check to Kmart and I don't bank with Fresno County Employees Credit Union.  This is a scam.  If anyone thinks they might have an outstanding debt, they should contact the vendor directly.  Never accept a caller's scam.  Demand a bill in the mail.  I told him to take my name and number off his list.  He'll probably just use a different scam number next time.  And, a different name.  BEWARE!
