Our phone number is listed in our directory with only our first initials. We keep receiving calls from the Northland Grp. even though we've stated we're not the individual they're seeking. We're on the Do Not Call Registry and are submitting NG to them for violation also.

    Do Not Call does not apply, but FDCPA does.  Northland has numerous complaints of harassing the wrong party.

    Send them written notice, via certified return receipt, to cease contacting you.  Indicate that you have already notified them repeatedly that the individual they claim to be attempting to call cannot be reached at your phone number, that you have already told them to stop calling, and that they are to cease communications.

    If they continue harassing you, file a complaint for FDCPA violations with FTC, your state AG, and Minnesota AG.

    Then find an attorney to sue their butts.
