No what was advertised

I have bought Dirt Devil vacuums my whole life and have always had really good luck with them, so that's why I always stuck with them. Well I needed a new vacuum so I started looking around  but always leaning towards Dirt Devil as always. But I wanted a vacuum that could also vacuum up hardwood floors. Dirt Devils have always been good to me with sweeping up hardwood floors even though they didn't advertise that they did. So when I found a Dirt Devil that said it right there on the box that it worked on hardwood floors I was sold. Biggest Mistake Ever! Yeah on the carpet it sucks up amazingly but from the very first day I noticed the motor start to get really hot, which for vacuums that is a very bad sign that it's going to die. And the hardwood floors were even worse, the only thing it will pick up off the hardwood floors is hair from my cat, nothing else. Of all the vacuums I've had over the years they were always awesome on hardwood floors, even though they didn't advertise that. I have a lot of health problems and the easiest way for me to clean the floors is by using a vacuum cleaner. So I knew that that was a feature that I absolutely had to have in a vacuum,  and even though it says it right there on the box, it absolutely does not. I am beyond disappointed and mad and everything else, and now because of this I don't want to ever buy a Dirt Devil again. Dirt Devil just lost a lifetime customer because of this.
