Hardware on door broken

We purchased a Maytag Series 300 front load washer and dryer in 2010 from Lowes in Kingsport,Tn.  2 months ago the door to the washer became in a bind, and popped, now the door is messed up. When we purchased the appliances, we purchased the extended warranty thru lowe for 3 years. I lost my receipt on the purchase and Lowes said that we did not put it on the charge card. Their records only go back 6 months. When I tried to call for a service call, the recording says I have to have a number to put in to get service. I don't understand why no one can find a record for where I purchased this and find my record of warranty.
