BEEPS 3 TIMES

I have a Maytag 3000 Series washer I bought less then 3 years ago. When I went to use it I pressed the power button, then pushed the start button, but all the light did was blink around the losad selector. And the start button beeped.
It flashed a fault code of F02, and F71 I think. I checked online to see what they were, but only found the F02. (Drain clog.) Its also said to unplug after the drain was cleaned out, but when I did, all that happened was power button beeps 3 times and nothing else. the timer that came on before isnt on, nothing.
I bought this washer and dryer to replace my 12 year old GE topload cheap as you can get washer and dryer. Did you catch that? 12 years old. and no problems until then.
These Maytags are JUNK. I used to think they were the appliances you cant kill, but I guess I'm the fool now.

DON'T BUY A MAYTAG!
I've had mine repaired twice. The first time fortunately was under warranty- and the part that needed to be replaced (the drum) cost more than the whole machine did. The rubber lining on the front load washing machines carry mold and Mildew and there is no way to clean it properly, that was the second repair, as it got a tiny pinhole in it and water leaked all over my floors every time i used it.... and that ended up costing us $385 to have it fixed. Also The timer that is supposed to beep when the laundry is finished- well that went too. Error codes constantly- Ugh- a nightmare.
"They" don't make things that last anymore, for sure. I had a washing machine that lasted ten years before this one and the only reason i got rid of it and bought this one is because of the HE and Energy Savers- Bah, not a $$ saver, in the least bit!
I'll continue to research and get back if I find a fix.
I have done this many times. The door and locking mechanism gets lazy over time, so you gotta nudge it a bit. Yeah, cheap.
