This is to lodge a complaint against Citibank Credit Cards section. They have been constantly harassing my father Mr K R Kutty by sending SMS and phone calls asking for a payment of a card that doesn't even exist!!! According to them, my father has a card numbered xxxxxxxxxx6015 with an outstanding amount of Rs 6141. However, my father is in possession of no such card and they haven't been able to provide proof of any such card existing.. I have had the worst experience with Citibank Credit Cards. I am hoping no one will ever use them. I hope this matter will be taken seriously as it's a case of sheer harassment.

    NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH CITIBANK!!!
I had a Citibank Visa card for years. I made the payments every month. Because I get paid bi-weekly, the payments were sometimes a little late, but paid every month regardless. In July 1999 I received my monthly statement and it showed a $700 bounced check payment. So they charged me the $700 plus a bounced check fee. The problem was, I had never made such a payment. My payments were all made in cash at a Citibank branch in my area. I called them immediately and went through hell with their operator trying to explain that this $700 payment was never made to my account and that they mush have mixed it up with someone else's account. I was finally handed over to a supervisor and she was also rude, saying I had made some late payments and insinuating that I was trying to get out of it fraudlently. However, she assured me the $700 charge would be taken off as well as the bounced check charge. This never happened. They kept charging me, and because this charge put me over my limit, they charged me over limit charges as well. I felt the only way to resolve it was to make the minimum payment and wait for someone from the bank to call me about the debt. Well, they did, and it was worse than when I called them. Various times I was assured that the charges would be taken off. They never were. I had estimated that I had paid off the total amount owed, so I stopped paying them. Now I know that was the wrong thing to do. They took me to court and my repsonse fell on deaf ears in the court system. I even had documentation about everything and still they won their case. After getting my wages garnsheed for 3 years, they said the debt was settled. NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH CITIBANK!!! They can't keep their accounts straight, and won't even try to settle with you.

I have had a citibank credit card for about 15 years. The minimum payment has always been calculated on 2% of the outstanding balance. On my last statement my minimum payment has increased by $260.00 per month. I have contacted Citibank and can only get through to a call centre somewhere in the world. Their explanation is that they are trying to look after their customers,so that they can pay their outstanding debt off more quickly. I did not receive any notification from Citibank that this was going to happen.I think that this is disgusting and I would definitely not recommend Citibank to anyone. I think it should be up to me whether I want to increase my payments or not.DONT DO BUSINESS WITH CITIBANK!!!!!!!

It was very hard for me to maintain an NRV of Rs. 25000/- till date. Suddenly, Citibank has enforced the rule that the NRV has been increased to Rs. 100,000/- failing to maintain the same, a fine of Rs. 500/- will be charged on the account.

400% increase in the NRV? How come this was approved by Citi Officials? Is there anyway the Government of India can look into this?

This is really disgusting and I am planning to close all my accounts with Citibank due to this drastic increase of NRV.

All the customers of Citibank should oppose this new NRV rule that is being imposed.
