We purchased "100 percent leather" furniture from Rooms To Go manufactured by Chateau D'Ax.  The "leather" is completely peeling off.  My toddler had a piece stuck to his diaper and then put the leather strip into his mouth and almost choked.  In my opinion, this furniture is unsightly and a hazard.  I called Rooms to Go and spoke with  Ms. Riley and she said to call the manufacturer.  I called Chateau D'Ax and was told I am out of warranty and to talk with Rooms to Go.   I wish I would have use the internet to search before I made a costly (and this could have cost my child's life) purchase.  When you have children you try to get your house as safe as possible.  Keep that in mind with  peeling sofas.

our room to go sofa is doing the same thing. To me its not a matter of warranty. Its a matter of fraud on the part of rooms to go. the 100% leather sofa is not 100% leather. leather doesn't peel off it will crack after years and years of wear and being outside in the sun, which sofas are normally inside ones home. I am thinking about fileing a lawsuit

We purchased a leather sofa from Rooms To Go. After 1.5 years, it started peeling off. At the time of purchase, sales agent told us that sofa will go for 10 years.  Customer service were not helpful.  I would never recommend RTG, even a $150 from Big Lots/Walmart is better in quality than RTG $1200 sofa. I am still wondering why a leather sofa will peel off and starts to break that badly within 2 years. Their warranty is only 1 year. After 1 year, they won't do anything.

RTG is cheating consumers. Hope some one files a lawsuit against them for cheating consumers by selling cheap quality products .

I purchased a 3 piece leather living room set from Rooms to Go in SC in 2010. My set began forming bubbles and started peeling after a year and I purchased.  I also purchased a 3 year  extended warranty which I found out that it only covers discolorations. I bought a pieces of junk not to mention the crappy warranty plan.  Now my furniture is actually tearing and I'm so embarrassed to invite anyone to my home. I even talked to the resolution dept, but they said they couldn't really do much , but offered me a $708 credit to replace all three pieces. I initially spend over $1800 on my furniture, but I had to cover the difference to replace the other two. I decided to decline the offer because I would have to come up with a large amount of money even though 3 years ago I spent all this money on furniture that I thought would last for many years. Rooms To Go is fraudulent and they should be sued for what they have done to so many customers.

Purchased Chateu D'ax  "leather" furniture 5-6 years ago. Warranty did not cover the peeling "leather". The company (filed a complaint with Consumer Protection branch of our Atty General's Office. Bon Ton nor Chateu D'ax would assume any responsibility for this. My resolution was to forbid the selling of this junk furniture without ample warning. Have been looking for folks joing together to do a class action suit v this awful company.
