I responded to a free sample of Somnapure.  I received the sample and then two weeks later I received an autoship of a bottle of Somnapure.  Total cost 69.99 + 4.99 = 74.98.  I called and explained that I did not want this or autorize it.  They said that I actually did authorize.  The fine print.  I explained that this was deceptive and that I would not do business with them becuase of that.  They gave me a RMA and will gladly refund the cost of the product minus shipping AND I get to pay to ship it back!  I called the CC company and they are going to dispute.  I will not deal with Peak Life again because of this.  Make sure that you read the fine print!!!!!  I will update with progress.

This is a "health product" cramming scam.

Immediately contact your bank to close your account or block your card number, and dispute any unauthorized charges as fraudulent.

Unfortunately our Government encourages these types of deceptive companies to continue their unethical practices by allowing them to exist using such questionable means to do business.  This company runs a shell game like many more out there, their products are bogus and they know it.  So to steal your money they require you to tell them that the product they supply is junk, if you don't cry uncle in the alloted time they give you more.  This stipulation is hidden in small print and easily overlooked,a well engineered template of deceit.
Don't call it fraud that's too brutal for them, but that's what it is we can't sugar coat it.  If a product is good and worth the expense people seek it out, they inquire about how to get it.  If a product is junk or not what it claims most people will not but it, it's usually not a requirement to tell the company they make a subpar product so please don't make me buy it again.  If that logic sounds a bit askew and running against the grain of common sense, you are probably in the majority.  The U.S. Attorney General needs to crack down on these companies with such deceptive practices.  But we all know the Government doesn't work for "We the People"

This is a common fraudulent "health product" charge cramming scam.

There is no reliable way beyond shutting down access to your money to stop them from continuing to take it.

File fraud disputes with your bank, and have them block the card number or close the account due to fraud to prevent additional fraudulent charges.  If you dispute within 60 days of the statement date of the statement showing the disputed charges, your bank can reverse them under FRB Reg. E or FCBA.

FTC recently shut down a similar group of scams run by Jesse Willms.

I too was scammed and charged the 74.98 for 4 months in a row! Then when I called to cancel they offered to drop the price to 49.99! I still said no! Then this evening I"m looking at GNC's website and came across this golden nugget:

    Peak Life® Somnapure® BONUS PACK
    60 Tablets

    464103

    Price: $39.99

So basically we have paid almost double what they actually sell if for and shipping is only a dollar! This is the biggest rip-off I have ever experienced. Sadly, these scoundrels prey on our handicaps and offer us a panacea of sleep filled nights. It didn't work for me.
"Sleep soundly" by GNC at an even lower price works great!

    I am thoroughly disgusted!

I had the same experience.  I didn't real all the fine print. When the second month supply and BILL came in, I cancelled.  Even though I cancelled, I received ANOTHER month supply AND bill even after cancelling.

I have tried this product, and can't tell if it helps or not. Therefore, it isn't worth the money.  Speaking of money, I do NOT like the fact Peak Life bills me, after I cancel.  Apparently, the SAY your account is cancelled, but they keep your credit card on file for billing you later, WITHOUT your permission.

I WILL NEVER USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN!!!
