Same as others that after the tedious process and hours waiting for responses they just increase price and change itineraries. For 3 days I was trying to contact their credit department. I waited for over 1 hour each time to get the phone interrupted. Finally they like nothing happen, cancelled my reservation and offered another one at higher price. But never the same route I requested. I has being traveled for the last 25 years and never had so horrible experience. Took me 5 minutes to reserve with travelocity. But cost me over $500.00

    Lied to and robbed!
Please read if you are planning to purchase a ticket from Cheapoair.  You might thank me later.

I took a trip to the Philippines in early 2011. Originally, I purchased a round-trip ticket for about $1,000.  My connecting flight was missed in San Francisco (my fault).  The airlines instructed me to work it out with the agency which sold me the ticket in the first place, Cheapoair. They told me I could take another flight out in two days (the earliest) and could have the difference in my ticket refunded to me. However, they told me I would have to pay for another round-trip ticket upfront (about $1,600). Later, the AIRLINES were going to refund my money, they told me. They also said it would take about two months to get my refund.  After spending two days in San Francisco, I caught the scheduled flight and finished my trip.

After two months, I contacted both the airlines and Cheapoair to see where my refund was.  Below are three emails received from Cheapoair.  This does not include the phone conversation and my attempts to connect via their website.

    1) If I am not entitled to a refund, I should have been told that before purchasing another ticket.

    2) If I was sold a ticket and informed incorrectly, most reputable companies would eat the cost and refund the money anyway, especially since an authorized representative PROMISED via phone AND email.

    3) ALL reputable companies would communicate quickly to resolve an issue relating to their services.  Cheapoair rates VERY POORLY in this regard.  They ignore your communication often (unless you are purchasing from them).

If I would have known that it would cost me $2,600+ to take my trip, I would have made other plans!

Please read below if you plan to purchase form Cheapoair!

First let me apologize for the confusion that this cancellation may have caused you. Dear xxxxxx,

Thank you for contacting the Billing Department; we apologize for the delayed response. We have been in contact with the airlines on several occasions in an effort to get this matter resolved. in order for us to process a refund on your behalf, all of the flight segments must be open. United Airlines has collected their payment for the first segment of your flights; and that segment is now showing used. Due to this we are unable to process the refund. Unfortunately there is nothing more that we can do on our end, as Asiana Airlines is unable to re-open the flight segment. Please follow up with the Airline if you would like to pursue the refund further. We sincerely regret that we were unable to provide you with a better outcome.

    Kind Regards,

    Ms. Miriam

    CheapOair
Dear Sir, we are revisiting your concern, however, it was mentioned that we would submit to the airline for a refund as a courtesty. The ticket was non refundable and with you not taking that segment, refunds generally are not given. Ultimately, the airline is the one who makes the decision, for they are the ones who have your money for the flights. As it turns out, no refund was due, based on the fare rules, and you used a portion of the ticket. Although the agent forwarded you an email regarding a refund, he is not the one who determines the refund. Our billing team who has more expertise in dealing with such cases, did inform you: we  have gone ahead and submitted a request be processed for the unused portion of your ticket. As long as this is approved you will receive an email with the amount of your refund at the time it is processed.
At this time, we are reviewing the case in hopes of turning this situation around.

OMG, please do not do business with cheapOair, EVER!! I purchased a 1,370.10 ticket from cheaOair on 12/12 . the flight date was 12/21/12 but the airline  ( air canada) cancelled the flight due to bad weather. Air canada tried to give me alternative flights but the days were not favorable for me as it defeated the purpose of my trip. So air canada told me they would issue a refund immediately and to instructed me to contact cheapoair for my immediate refund. I contacted cheapoair with the flight cancellation and after they confimred it, the rep told me to expect my refund in 3-4 business days. Well, I have spent over 100 hours on the phone with cheapoair. Their stories and procedures change every single time. as of 02/10/13, i still have not recieved my refund from cheapoair. They hang up on me whenever I call them now. They've been telling lies upon lies everytime they email me. Once, they emailed me stating the status of my ticket went from cancelled to 'no show' therefore i don't get a refund. But it was never a no show. The airlines cancelled the flight, cheapoair knows that. They just play games and drag on until you give up and then they take your money. I've filed a fraudulent charge with my bank, contacted BBB, I'm yet to go to court sooner than later. At this point I have stopped communicating with cheapoair since it is useless and waste of time. The indian reps have no emotions, They are so robotic and idiotic they make me loose my cool each time on the phone with them. Cheapoair is going to pay me my entire refund with interest by the time they get to pay me. I'm going to sue them big time with a good attorney. Air Canada and Lufthansa both told me NEVER to book with cheapoair because they get calls from customers who booked their flights with cheapoair all the time with similar complaints. It was my first time and needless to say, will be my last time doing business with cheapo. I've posted on FB and so many places to deter people from doing business with cheapo.
