tj:  I'm with you. I think these people are SCAMMERS. Unfortunately, I fell for it and have already given them some money. You really think they are not real? I feel so stupid! This Amy sounds legit when she talks to ppl on the phone. However, the guy that works for her...Bob White; he's another story...he calls you at work and calls all the ppl on your application and tells them that "you've been served." It's so embarrassing.

Any indication as to whether they are getting information connected to an actual lender and real loan, or whether they are just getting loan application information somewhere and extorting payment for a faked "loan"?

Was this connected to a crammed "loan", resulting from an application on some "broker" site, followed by a deposit and quick withdrawals to create the appearance of a "loan", without any disclosure of terms and agreement by you to take out the loan on those terms?

The information is taken from a real loan. I had a loan w/ four seasons loans online which we couldn't pay back due to me being on bedrest for a pregnancy and out of a job, I too fell victim and have paid them money because they put fear in me that since we didn't pay the loan back they were pressing theft by deception charges and fradulent charges for recieving the loan. It wasn't until after I made a payment to them and retained an attorney for bankruptcy that my attorney advised me that they were just debt collectors illegally going about collecting debts and not following fdcpa laws. Hopefully someone out there sees this before falling victim and paying them money.
