CHEAPOAIR.COM is definitely a very poor company and I strongly urge ANYONE reading this to NOT use there "service".

On July 9th I went to CheapOair.com to purchase a ticket and was provided with a Reservation ID and a booking number. Now, I also went directly to the airline's website to verify the prices, and they were accurate, BUT Cheapoair was offering a $10 instant coupon so I figured I would purchase the ticket through them and not directly with the airline itself.

A few hours go by and I did not receive my ticket so I called them. I was on hold for 15 minutes and then was "disconnected". I then called back and after another 30 minutes was told by a representative that they were "processing' it and I should have a ticket shortly. A few hours later I call back. I waited 30 minutes on hold and once the representative asked me "do you really need a morning flight"? At this point, I'm thinking something is obviously wrong. Apparently, they were unable to offer me the ticket that I had purchased and booked. I requested to speak to a manager and was transferred to SHAW. He would not provide a last name. He basically kept giving the run around and tried to continuously blame the airlines. I told him that if I had NOT used the CheapOAir service and directly booked with the airline that I would have had a ticket so what reason do I have to use his service ever again if they can't provide what they advertise and promote? He did not have an answer. I made him give me a written confirmation that I would not be charged. I also requested the name of a superior. He declined to give me any names so that I could formally complain and told me to send a generic email to their feedback@cheapair.com. I gave him ample notice that I was going to post my story anywhere I could to warn other consumers that this website does not provide the services it charges to the customer!!!!!!

I purchased a flight from CheapOAir in June.  In August I received notice my flight was cancelled and a full refund was the only option. I had the usual long waits to get a call through.  I had to use another airline to buy a ticket and change dates of my flight as all flights were booked.  I find out COA is going to charge me for car rental booking done as the same time as I purchased my flight.  I again wait for 25 minutes to get this straightened out, the person on the line is confused and says he will call me back.  I then get an email notice I will be charged for the car even though I haven't landed in the city yet.  I am fuming.  I WANT TO BE PART OF A CLASS ACTION SUIT.

I just filed a formal complaint with BBB.org (better business bureau).  I booked a flight from Boston to Manila Philippines for $1167.  One of the connecting flights was Air China flight 179.  A day after booking the reservation, I received an email from cheapoair.com saying that the flight is unavailable and the next lowest fare was around $1650.  I called customer service and they said the departure time for flight 179 changed, which conflicted with the prior connecting flight.  I told them to cancel the reservation as I wasn't gonna spend an extra $500.

3 more days go by and I've been checking their website several times a day.  Air China flight 179 for that date is still listed at the original departure time,  as it is also on every other major flight ticket website.

My complaint to BBB is that they were falsely advertising.  They either  1) lied to me about the time change to get me to pay more money     or 2) are incompetent at updating their database because they obviously knew about the time change 3 days ago.

I am demanding that they honor the $1167 that was originally advertised.

Shane, the flight that you are speaking of 179 has had a time change from 8:00pm to 6:15pm causing a misconnect.  We have your booking number so no need to respond back with the details, we are currently reviewing your complaint. Very sorry for the inconvenience.

Cheapo Air ripped me off for nothing...I read that the name on the booking should be EXACTLY the same as on the passport so I phone CHEAPO to advise that I had a one letter mispell on my wife's middle name, they said I would have to cancel the booking and make another booking with the correct name and that it would cost me $200 to do it...I agreed however the final charge was $540..the worst thing is that when we went to check in at the airport the checkin staff said that the error wasn't important as long as the first and last names were the same as the name in the passport...$540 ripoff for staff stupidity and I'm the loser..
I will NEVER use this booking agency again....I recently made a booking for 6 people London /Montevideo return for 8,600 GBP and got an excellent price for one stop flights from British Airways direct.  Screw CHEAPO

    Cheapoair IS A SCAM!!!!!

I have been experiencing exactly What Ripple999 has described. The airlines need to discredit Cheapoair.com for scamming people as the charges on our credit cards doesn't reflect transactions from Cheapoair.com but rather from the airlines directly, which isn't true.

For this reason, I will take it all the way to the airline ombudsman to make certain that Cheapoair.com gets eliminated from their airline network.

Cheapoair.com are indian fraudsters and they will get what's coming to them.

We booked a rental car through CheapoAir for a great rate, to be picked up at the airport in Leon, Mexico.  We paid half the rate through CheapoAir and then were supposed to pay the other half when we picked up the car at the Dollar rental car agency in Leon.  However, it turns out CheapoAir did NOT give them any of the money, and we had a to pay the full rate - a DIFFERENT rate - at Dollar when we got to Leon.  CheapoAir did not claim any responsibility for this issue when we called, saying that we needed to take up the issue with Dollar.   DO NOT USE CHEAPOAIR if you want to be sure that your good deal will be honored when you arrive to your destination.   We will also not  use Dollar in the future, either, because they should not be advertising  their cars on Cheapo knowing that it is a scam.

Dear Customer, there must be some miscommunication because we never take any money for the car rental itself, nothing is pre paid except if you purchase CDW from us, which is optional insurance.  We also have a processing fee which ranges 10.00-15.00 per booking, that is our fee and not money paid to Dollar.  I will be glad to look over your reservation if you email me your booking number.  If we collected any money towards the actual car rental, not including the other options, I will see that it is refunded.  Many people confuse the receipt as well thinking that the car is paid for, the receipt simply advises you what the cost is going to be. You can email us and place BLOG in the subject line, and include the 8 digit booking number.

Cheap-o-air is a scam.  Two days ago i booked 8 reservations for a mission trip on cheapoair.  Later I discovered that I mispleed one of the passgenger's name so I contacted them. I was told it would cost $150.00 to correct my mistake. I told the representative I would take my chances at the airport I didn't have $150.00. He said, "Let me check."  In a few minutes he came back and said they could do it for $75.00. Again, I told him I could pay that. I said, "I will pay you $25.00 for the change."  He talked for a few minutes and them said, "We will change it for $35.00. So, I agreed to do it.  I hung and anther representative called me a few minutes later and said our return flight had been canceled and wanted to charge me $70.00 on another flight back. I told him I couldn't do it. I hung up and my daughter that I shared this with called Cheapoair and discovered the flight had not been cancelled at all.   Later I tried to cancell all the tickets because our visas did not come through from Cuba, but I understood that these tickets were non-refundable. My complaint doesn't have anything to do with that. I knew going in the flights were non-refundable. My problem is the scam on the supposed canceled flight.  DON'T BOOK WITH CHEAP0AIR!
