Re-occuring Bogus Debt Collection Efforts

Received another round of bogus debt collection phone calls and faxes for an on line phone book listing. Two years ago it was with "Regional Yellow Pages Online" in Uniondale, New York. Now it is with "Local Page" (Local Page U.S.?)Premium Phone listing out of St.Petersburg, Florida. The calls and faxes come from the ACA Recovery scam operation out of Ridgewood, NJ. The first encounter was "settled" through a mediator at the BBB in New York. Now, same dollar amount but different dates and names on the fabricated invoice. Now to file the complaint with Ridgewood BBB, who already has a D+ rating in this non-accredited business, and the Federal Trade Commission on this company.

    Forget BBB.  This isn't some "mediation" of a "billing dispute".  It's just a fraudulent telemarketer, aided and abetted by an equally crooked "debt collector".

    FTC has been collecting a fat file on this cluster of fraudulent "business directory" telemarketers, as well as the NJ debt collector.

    File fraud complaints with FTC, your state Attorney General, and the New Jersey Attorney General.
    If you receive a fraudulent invoice, file a mail fraud complaint with the U.S. Postal Inspector.
