Received a harassing call from a "Scott King". He initially could not get me and call a co-worker of mine in a different department. He did not answer any questions, talked over me when I tried to ask any questions. Gave me 855.545.0250 for RH Group to contact for a Release Order Form.
I called my lawyers gave them all the information for them to handle this issue. I will file a formal complaint with the BBB.
I know my rights and was informed that these harassment tactics are illegal under the FCRA. After my lawyers research this, I will be seeing what legal action and restitution can be taken against RH Group for these rude, "scare" tactics.
This is to make you pay immediately without questioning the debt.

The BBB has an alert out on them because they have not responded to the BBB's request for proof that they are a valid corporation and licensed to do business in New York.  They are not listed as a member of ACA International, the lobbying group for the debt-collection industry.

...and the experience of many, many folks who frequent comlaintwire.org, that being a member of some pseudo-legitimate organization means nothing at all.

"They are not listed as a member of ACA International, the lobbying group for the debt-collection industry."

This may not matter.  Even if an agency is registered with some bogus group, this won't ensure legality or fairness on the agency's part.  In short, don't let the addition of some 'group' on the profile of some collection agency deter you from treating these guys with prejudice.

Because they are not with any sort of professional organization just means that they haven't 'been around long enough.'  Don't stop with the BBB.  Get your lawyer to get on them for contacting a third party (about a debt which they have yet to validate).  Get the skinny on what it takes to file a small claims action against them, and file for each and every violation of the FDCPA.  If, after you've received your judgments, they either 'disappear' or refuse to pay up, do what I did - sell those judgments to another collection agency and let the buggers eat one another.  It's a cannibals' business anyway.  Let them work out their animal urges on one another and leave the rest of us alone.

This is really starting to piss me off. This guy Ryan Franklin (who was yelling at the top of his voice when we answered finally) called my husband, mine, and my relatives phones PRIVATE NUMBER 20 times today. Just a hour ago 4 times in a minute. Stated that he had a summons that was faxed over to his office and he was going to serve it to my husbands supervisor (where he doesn't work anymore) or our previous  home address (where we don't reside anymore) within 25 minutes and that my husband only had a short period to take care of the matter. When asked what this was concerning he stated that he didn't know because it was a sealed summons. BUT WAIT.... I thought it was faxed over just that morning? How can it be sealed summons if it was faxed? He also wouldn't give my husband or myself any information about the company he worked for or was calling from and told us to call this 1-855-332-2985 and gave us a case number. So we called the number and it was for RH group or RTH group. We never talked to anymore from that number as we know this is a scam. PLEASE WHAT EVER YOU DO DON'T SEND THEM MONEY OR GIVE ANY OF YOU PERSONAL INFORMATION OUT TO THEM. I don't know if there are any steps we can take to take care of these scam artists but we will have our lawyer call them tomorrow if this [***] doesn't stop.

this very same thing just happened to me but the number was 855-358-8251 that they wanted me to call with a case number and told me to tell them to do a ROF form.  i have never been talked to in my life like this man did to me. yelling at me , threatening me, and tell ing me im a disgrace to my children and that i would be served at my job and that they are going to take my car and my house. these people need to be stopped.  They just called my 15yr old daughter and threatened her too.  This BS needs to stop and stop now. They have called me private now 4 times in 15 minutes.

They have been calling me and my family member for a month. Each time they threaten serving papers. Today they called twice at my job and 3 times on my cell phone so I know they must be contacting my elderly mother again. I am at the end of my rope. I contacted my bankruptcy attorney but they can't do much because there is no info on this company. I am now at the end of my bankruptcy having paid all my debtors so they can take a flying leap off a cliff because I only owe my utilities.

My family members received numerous phone calls from this group saying it was urgent I make payment for a company I've never heard of before. When I attempted to call them back I was given no additional information other than I needed to make payment immediately to avoid jail time. Being harassed on this level is beyond ridiculous and I'm definitely seeking an attorney to get help with this matter.
