I've purchased my maytag washer at the home depot because I have always believe that Maytag is a good brand. Well, I was extremely wrong. I paid a good amount of money for this washer hoping that I was going to have a good, trouble free washer for a few years. That was not the case for me, and I see that that is not the case for plenty of people here. I've paid the home depot to professionally install the washer. After they installed the washer I checked the installation to make sure that I was not going to have issues that I experienced on the past, a bad hose, washer not being leveled properly, and drainage hose not being tightly connected, etc..I started having issues with the washer two month after it was installed--no more than 15 loads on those two months giving maytag the benefit of the doubt--when I started finding my laundry room flooded after each load. I checked the hoses again and they were nicely fitted. After plenty of inspection, I found that the water was coming from the Washer. I called Maytag and they fixed the washer because it was still under warranty. The issue was that the rubber that seals the door was already worn out. The repairman suggested that I purchased the extended warranty because I was going to have that issue again--luckily, I haven't had the issue again. One year later, the door on the washer would not closed. I call Maytag again, and they told me that my washer was out of warranty and I was on my own, that I should call a certify repair man because it was a complicated jog to replace the hinge. I bought the hinge for $120 and fixed myself--it was a complicated job alright, I was lucky that I put all the pieces back together. If I would have had to pay for this repair, it would have ended up paying at least $360 to replace a hinge--this way more than what I paid for my older washer that lasted for 15 years and it was still working when I replaced it just because I remodel my laundry room.  Now, my washer is making noises during the spin cycle. At the beginning, I thought that maybe the washer was not leveled any more. I've got my level out and the washer is perfectly leveled. As I started searching on the Internet how to fix this issue, I read this blog. Now, I realized that the conclusions that I was making that maytag is a piece of junk are 100% right. I agree with one post here, there should be a class A law sue against maytag even when it will be the lawyers the ones making the money and our issues not solved.
