I am a business professional in New York, I live in Westchester, NY. I am dumb Struck at the incompetence of A&E Factory Service. How are they still in business, it is inexcusable to subject consumers to such an organisation. My Jen-Aire Refrigerator is 18 months old, and it has begun to leak. It leaks so much a puddle forms in the basement. 3 times these buffoons have been out to 'fix' the leak. They schedule, you take time off work to be there, and they re-schedule the day of the appointment on one instance, and come well after the appointment time on another occasion! I was made to pay for parts used to 'fix' the refrigerator leak. I am about to call them again, after a technician (joke) came today, to schedule another appointment as the fridge still leaks!
Under no circumstances should you purchase an appliance if it is to be serviced by A&E Factory Service. Under no circumstances should you call them to service an appliance in your home.

You have other choices for service.  Check the Maytag website for a servicer in your area and you should be able to find someone else.  It is always best to avoid the Sears/A&E parts changing monkeys.

Rather than a complaint, I would like to say that I am very satisfied with the service at A&E.  I did have a problem with my warranty, called customer sevice and was taken care of promptly.  After reading the complaints, I was ready for an argument.
My first call to them resolved my problem with my Whirlpool Washer, called today,  and my service is scheduled for tomorrow.  This is a legit, over the top company :)  This is the 3rd time I had to call them and no complaints as of today ;)
The problem you are having may not be the fault of A&E, may be the fault of the appliance itself.....like they say "Don't shoot the messenger"!
