Breach Of Contract Or At Very Least-Deceptive Trade Practices
Complaint
Hotter Than Hell In Texas
Country: United States
Been a customer for over 10 years, no major repairs, no high dollar claims. A/C unit went out last week (Tuesday) - today's Monday of following week. AHS set
Me up with contractor that is way too busy but way too greedy so the games
Are on-going. Waiting on AHS, AHS claims they sent approval 2 days ago to contractor. Called tonight to see if my request could be transferred to
Another contractor that could come out & fix my unit. (This is my 3rd call in last 2 business days, average wait time - 50 minutes 21 secs)
Well sat on hold for almost an hour again, and finally got to live person. Stephanie has zero customer service skills and truly needs a career change. She was trite, kept using an annoying saying over and over "I'm sorry it appears that way" even when it did t and couldn't be applied to that part of the conversation. She then started making excuses for the contractor when I said they've had approval for two days now but lied and told me they were waiting on AHS. So she says well
Maybe they're waiting on parts. She said I've seen where parts can take from 5-7 business days to come in. She's seen? Really? Only thing she's seen is the script in front of her!! I told her the parts are readily available because the tech they sent out told me when he gave his diagnosis. Her ending statement was well
It's out of our hands now so your only recourse is to keep calling them. So I asked to speak to a manager. she refused saying none available, I asked again, same reponse but more attitude. Terrible ! Total disrespect for their customer. So I said to make sure I understand correctly, if this contractor decides he's gonna wait another week or two you're telling me you can't get me assigned to a new contractor, She replied there's nothing AHS can do about it. So I said well there should be, who do they work for? To which I got no response.
Where's the fast, worry free repair they plaster all over their website and on their sad on hold service. Save your money, their management team must foster this total disregard for the customer, as they say, it starts at the top. It's all about the dollar.
Again, save your money and look around at some of AHS competitors if you feel you need a home warranty, I'm sure there's a company out there doing it the right way, after my experience I'm convinced it's not this one.
