Charge never authorized, nor even new about until...

I looked at my account statement on line and thank god I did! All of the sudden I saw this charge for $59.95 that is bogus, thanks to this website and the complaint wire. Thank you, as there is no website info or anything to help except this site. Thank you again, and am going straight to my bank tomorrow and no more on-line shopping for me !!!!!Getting myself a new card and never using it on-line!

Thank you for this site, I am very appreciative.

    So happy for you.  Same thing, same amount happened to me this past Sunday.  What can I do?  Really put me in a bind and my bank doesn't seem to want to help.  They're actually holding it for them for 7 days.  If they don't collect, then, they'll credit my account......what a laugh.  Can I report them Federally.  I plan to prosecute to the fullest so this doesn't happen to anyone else.

    Immediately contact your bank to dispute any fraudulent charges, and CLOSE THAT ACCOUNT to prevent future fraudulent charges.  Follow up with your bank dispute IN WRITING, to preserve your dispute rights under Reg. E (for checking accounts), or FCBA (for credit cards).  Send your bank dispute certified return receipt requested, so you have proof that your bank received your dispute within 60 days of the statement date on the statement showing the disputed charges.  

    "DRI*REG.NET" appears to be "Digital River", an e-commerce company that handles billing for other companies.  They claim you can find out who they are billing for through their website, here:

    If you have problems with determining what their charges are for, or getting disputed charges reversed, file complaints with FTC, your state AG, and the Minnesota Attorney General.

    Just got off the phone with the bank about a bogus charge on my account.  $79.95.   Unfortunately, they can't tell who it is coming from as the charge is still pending.  Will have to wait until tomorrow (and it clears) to dispute it.   My bank was very understanding and advised that I have a new card issued to keep from repeat charges and will start the dispute process tomorrow.
