Disgusted!
Country: United States
The "error" in transmitting complaint occurred after I entered the validation code and hit the 'submit complaint' prompt.  Here's my complaint:
These people don't know what "cease & desist" means.  I've received calls late at night, early in the morning and sporadically during the day.  Since I've been trying to look up the number, etc. on the computer, I've received the THIRD call w/in 1 hour.  I've tried ignoring the calls, talking to the callers, etc. and asking who the company is and what they are calling about.  Just keep getting "trying to verify your phone number, your name & address"  no further explanation.  I've told them they have wrong info...they just keep calling.  When they called this last time (less than 10 minutes ago) I told the caller I am in the process of reporting them for harassment, etc.  When I researched the reverse number lookup, I noted more than 132 complaints logged against this number.  Digitcom Services, Inc. is listed as their phone carrier with San Diego as the city where calls are generated.  PLEASE JUST MAKE THESE PEOPLE STOP!!  I have no business or personal related 'ties' to any company or individual in California!

We get calls approximately every 10 mins regardless of the time of day. I called them requesting they stop via their message box. That phone call made it worse. I then called and told them every time you call me I'm calling you back, the phone company, attorney general and better business bureau. Knocking on wood for I have not had a call in the last hour. This company (?) should be shut down!!! For the life of me I can't understand how the phone company continues to allow them to do businees which includes being a bully to others.

I'm getting calls from this number NONSTOP! 619-801-8144 / It's the SAME Scammers as 626-273-8240 and the calls are coming in at all hours of the day and night on both my home phone and my cell phone!

It's possibly a spoofed number though, as many of the calls from this area in Cali are actually being bounced out of India & the Phillipines through a system similar to Skype. Oh, and don't believe for a second that your Land or Cell phone provider can't track it back to it's ACTUAL location. They can! It's just a matter of if they really want to be bothered with it & how much you pressure them to do it. Threats of legal action rarely work, but filing an actual complaint & seeking legal actions seems to work wonders to get them to get off their a**es to trace it back to it's place of origin.

In my case though, everytime I answer, they hang up instantly. No machine, no person, just dead air, then it disconnects.

I have since saved both 619-801-8144 & 626-273-8240 into my phone as TM#8-DoNotAnswer & TM#9-DoNotAnswer with a silent ring tone for both so I won't get woken up by these stupid calls.

    (619) 801-8144 is a CELLULAR number / Phone Company:  DIGITCOM SERVICES, INC.
Location:  San Diego SNDG/CALIFORNIA, CA / Local Calling Area:  San Diego CA

Contact them to file a harassment/attempted credit card fraud complaint:
    http://www.digitcom.net/contact.asp
Digitcom Services, 12923 Venice Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90066
    (310) 358-7000 / Toll Free (800) 464-5446 / Fax (310) 437-4105

But "Supposedly", this number is actually owned by:
TM Caller ID, LLC, Telephone Management Building
    2331 SW 5th Avenue, 1st Floor, Portland, OR 97201-6303
    Toll free: (866) 708-0401

In what I've read so far on here and other places in regards to this number, it seems to be attempted credit card fraud, and getting as much information as you can to report it is very necessary.

I would highly suggest reporting these calls directly to:
    https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/

    And also to:
    https://secure.nclforms.org/nficweb/nfic.htm

    Also contact:
    http://www.transunion.com/
    http://www.equifax.com/
    http://www.experian.com/

and let them know what's possibly happening. Once you place the fraud alert in your file, you're entitled to one FREE copy of your credit report from each of the three consumer reporting companies immediately! In the event that one of your Credit Card/Debit Card accounts shows any type of fraud, have them close the account immediately and issue you a new card and account number.

Sooner or later, if enough people complain and/or sue over these type of scams, the companies will have no choice but to act or risk losing all of their customers.

If the calls continue, I'll be filing a complaint with the BBB against all said companies involved, as well as contacting the FTC, FCC, and the Attorney General in each state to file formal complaints.
