Improper billing for equipment

I requested a box recovery package from Direct TV. They told me that I own the receivers(2), remote controls(2) and dish(1) and do not need a recovery Fedex kit to sent this equipment back .I requested to disconnect and they told me I do not need tro send anything back.  After I disconnected they sent me a bill for $500.00 for each receiver. This is the classic bait and switch to make a quick $1,000.00.
What can I do ?
