multiple calls/hangups

Our office has received calls from this company/phone # for the past month or so.  When we answer they do not say anything and we get disconnected.  I understand that it is an automated service and because we do not answer the telephone with a simple "hello" like you would a personal #, we answer with a company name, the computer does not recognize the answer and terminates the call.  

This being said - it is annoying!  I decided to call them back today and when I did, i spoke with someone who said they would remove us from the call list.  I asked the agent who they were trying to reach - and if it was someone in our office offered to give them the company info & # to call back, but they said that they can not provide me with that as I was not the person the call was intended for.  But i had to laugh at them because they never asked who I was, jsut my phone number which I stated was a business number, so how do they know that I am not who they were calling for.  Go figure!  

It seems to me that unfortunately, while this company does have a job to do - collect debt  - they jsut do it as badly as all the others.  The one thing I will say, who ever I spoke with, they were very polite.  Lets just hope they actually remove my company.
