Miss leading sales person

I am 84 year old (hard of hearing) Vet. When I call Dish was given information that sounded good. I asked is this service  a contract? They said no , it can be cancelled in 10 days if I didn't like it. I call to cancell she said you owe $540.78 & I have to pay shipping to return the equipment. This is FRAUD. Never did I see a written contact for 2 years!
