I purchased this unit at Home Depot and thought because of the Huskey name, I was getting a quality product. I used it once and it worked great. The next year, I took it out to do some spring cleaning and was extremely disappointed to find it will not pump any water. In fact I can not get any water to flow through it. The engine starts right up and runs great. I have tried to find replacement parts and a repair manual for this pump but they are no whare to be found. The only replacement pump that I have been able to locate costs more than the cost of a new replacement pressure washer. After reading some of the complaints from other customers, I understand why Huskey has discontinued this model, I just thought they were more reputable than to leave customers stranded with a piece of junk that they can not repair.

Ditto. I guess I was luckier than most. My Husky model HU80931 pos lasted about 15-20 running hours over a three yr period. When I went back to the Home Depot where I purchased the tool I got the typical deer in the headlight look from a clerk who couldn't care less about my problem.  Further investigation revealed the pump on the unit was just another outsourced piece of junk from China. Replacing the pump costs more than the tool is worth. I am finished with Husky products and will be more careful in the future about what I purchase from Home Depot

I agree.....MY HU80931.. power washer is a piece of JUNK! Mine ran for about 24 hrs before falling to the Pump Dump pile! What a waiste of Money!
Never Will I buy another power tool product from a company that does not stand behind what they sell!......Should have gone to a local dealer that cares about their name and customers....Not a Volume based Box store!

Same with my HU80931 power washer.  I used it one season and the next season it would not pass water.  After talking to several people there could be two reasons for this.  If you left water in the pump over the winter and it froze it could have damaged the plastic values inside.  Unless you flush it with an antifreeze agent, it should be brought inside the house and stored during the winter where the water in the pump will not freeze.  The other problem is scaling (hard water calcium build-up).  I'm told that because the pump is made of aluminum, scaling will be a major problem.  I took my pump completely apart and I was surprised at the amount of scaling build up it had after one season. Of course non of this is explained in the manual. And trying to get parts and service is terrible unless you want to drive 100 miles to a repair center.  By the way, the repair center told me the price immediately without inspection.  They get so many complaints on this brand that they always replace the pump assembly.  They don't even bother with diagnostics.  Of course this costs anywhere from 50% to 75% of what you paid for the washer originally!

Well I do not feel alone anyways. Bought mine at a yerd sale for $40. Wouldn't start so I emptied gas cleaned carb (figured it was the ethanol in gas since have had issues with other small engines). Started right up, was using it and thought should have more pressure then heard thunk and felt it in handle. Came inside to see if could find a manual or any info and this is the first thing I read. At least I am only out $40 and maybe this site will help someone else before they buy one even at a yard sale.

I just picked-up one of these from Craigslist. Of course, it was not running at the time, so after directing the owner to this tread of messages, I got it for next to nothing...

Took it home, and for $3.00 I replaced the carburator diaphragm and gasket with new ones. The engine runs like it's new..

Then from eBay I purhcased a replacement pump for less than $70.00:

Search for:  308653045 KIT 308653025 308653006 Husky Pressure Washer Pump 2600

I took the old pump apart, and it's clogged solid.  there is no way that any water was ever going to flow through that. I tried to un-clog it, but no way..  it's impossible to dismantle, and even then the solids are not coming out..

    That new pump works great...

Same deal as others. No water coming through high pressure line. Only 5 hours of use. Problem finding just the pump head. It cracked. Also soap feature did not last long.
