Rude and Insulting Staff

I was considering a membership at the LA Fitness in Anaheim Hills until we encountered a "Merideth" who was rude, short and extremely insulting along with her friend named "Lance" who were working at the gym the day I brought both of my sons and husband there to see the gym.  The women and male persons said that we were far too heavy to fit into the group working out at that gym.  They recommended we go on the Bigest Loosers first as the man said that to my husband, the women working there laughed with him.  We found this to be in really poor taste and I would not reccomend anyone have to put up with that type of discrimination while considering spending money in order to self inporve one's health and fitness.  That gym needs to rid itself of all of the staff.  The only reason we even considered that gym is because the firs night I toured it without my family, a very nice young lady named Beth was so kind, warm and friendly I originally had a wonderful feeling about that gym that night.  I returned the next day only to encounter two of the most rude and insulting, discriminating individuals I have ever talked with in my entire life time.  We have since joined 24 hour fitness and we LOVE Love it!!!

    You should have complained and still should complain to the head office; don't bother with the GM. The head office would appreciate this info about their staff. They should be lucky they have a job there. I'm a member there and my complaint is the steam bath has been inoperable close to 2 months. When i get done with my priorities, I will contact the head office. These gym yehoos response is basicaly duh! and the GM is too busy making phone calls (personal or otherwise, it doesn't matter). They need customer service training because they avoid eye contact. It's a revolving door.
