Refrigerator not repaired after initial $500

My refrigerator and freezer are not working, both will just stop cooling and not come back on.  If I flip the breaker, I can get it to work again.  I called A & E Repair, they replaced an electronic board for $500.  The next day the refrigerator was not working.  I called A&E back, they couldn't come out for over a week!!!  When they did get here, the repair guy didn'g know what was wrong, he called another tech, they went over several things and decided that one of the two fans was not working, but they couldn't tell which one worked and which one didn't, so I was told to replace both fans.  I said no, I wasn't going to pay to replace a part that was working. I made several calls to the resolution call center to complain about the entire experience.  No help, they basically told me that if the repair guy came back, he would say that both fans were defective and that I have to pay for the parts upfront before he will come back.  I am out $500 and my refrigerator still doesn't work. The new fans will cost around $300 and labor is $200.  I am very upset, do I have any recourse?
