No reception durning bad weather

We live in Brownstown Twp Michigan. When it appears that we might have rain or thunder showers our service dies. Cable is more expensive(every month it goes up) but you don't have to worry about losing the tv signals. Is there any satellite company that don't lose signals when bad or not so bad weather appears?
