HAVE A CHARGE OF $24.95 ON LATEST AMERICAN EXPRESS STATEMENT.  THIS STATEMENT HAS BEEN PAID BUT FUTURE BILLINGS WILL NOT BE PAID.  WILL ADVISE AMERICAN EXPRESS OF THIS.

    WHY DO I CONTINUE TO GET THIS MESSAGE? MY ATTORNEYS MAY WONDER THE SAME THING.

    If it is an erroneous charge, why would you agree to pay the charge they have already made?  What if anything have you gotten for it?

    Contact AmEx and dispute the charge.  They can reverse unauthorized charges if you dispute promptly.  Under federal law, FCBA, you must dispute within 60 days of the statement date of the statement showing the disputed charge, so do NOT delay.  Follow up with a written dispute or fraud affidavit sent to your bank's (AmEx's) dispute address from your statement to best preserve your dispute rights.
