AIRLINE RESERVATION

I would strongly urge new cheap o air customers not to assume they have an airline ticket even though they have been sent a reservation confirmation. I made that mistake and two days before i was due to fly from mexico to brazil i was contacted by cheap o air via e-mail informing me that my reservation had been cancelled. Why? Well several phone calls later between myself, my bank, and cheap o air i gathered that cheap o air tries to validate new customers bank details before they charge the credit card. My bank refused to give my banking information to a third party and therefore cheap o air never tried to charge my card. I had already paid for non-refundable accommodation and tours and was therefore obliged to look for alternative air travel two days before i was due to fly. This cost me extra (the difference between the original cheap o air price and the price i had to pay to copa airlines directly). Cheap o air has refused to refund me the difference. Obviously i shall never use their services again. Steer clear of these amateurs!!!

The reason why he got notice 2 days before his travel, is because he booked 2 days before travel. He made the reservation online July 7, for departure July 9, we do have a credit card verification we do go through on all our credit  cards, not just new customer's. Its for ones own protection against fraudulent purchases made on the internet. Pax was called same day July 7, we advised him of  the difficulty we were having with his bank, he was upset and threatened media blogging. He later said he will purchase the ticket with copa, after that, he never gave us the opportunity to try and complete the transaction.  He was doing a last minute reservation from mexico, to RIO.....
