Unauthorized bank account withdrawals

I canceled my internet service with PeoplePC in January 2007. They gave me a free month in case I decide to continue with the service, and told that at the end of the free month the account will be closed. When I was looking through my bank statement in March 2007 I noticed PeoplePC is withdrawing $22.91 from my bank account. I've been trying to resolve this ever since. Apparently, my account has not been closed and they continue charging me for the service I no longer use.

    I have been trying for a 1 year to cancel People PC. I have called several times to cancel and you can never get to the proper department. I have sent e-mails to cancel and the say I have to call. I understand it only $15 a month but when comes out of your checking account each month it is frustrating. Then for me to stop payment it is another $35.00 and a hassle to go to the bank and file the paper work.

    So I have paid this rip off PC provider for something I have not used in over a year. I only have internet access at work and do not need the People PC. I am not even sure what my password is all I know is me e-mail address for peoplepc is nfm35 AT peoplepc.com. I am sure that there a several thousand e-mails I do not even go and check because I do not want there service. If you could please help me in this situation I would appreciate it.

    I went online and had my service cancelled through the online customer service and got a confirmation number from them and then I had it sent to my email address which is not through peoplepc and if I still keep getting charged, I will print the cancellation letter and send it in with my credit card payment disputing the charge. I hope this will hope future peoplepc customers.

    The same thing that has happened to the others has happened to me.  I keep getting a charge on my charge account.  Not too long ago I transferred my remaining balance on my charge to a new charge account and cancelled my old account.  I was quite upset when I received a statement from my old charge account with a people pc charge on it.  I told them that I had cancelled people pc and also my charge account with them, but I am still getting charged for people pc even though I have not used it for at least four or five months.

    This is a disgrace but I don't know what more I can do.  I'm not sure if anyone has contacted the Better Business Bureau.

    Please tell me how you resolved this problem.

    I am having the same problem as the consumers above. I cancelled my account with People Pc because, after being connected for a few days, I r could not access the internet and could not get any assistance. I repeatedly told the representative I did not want the service. I used
    the library's computer and found People Pc has been charging my account since January 2008 (4) months. I cancelled the account in January 2008.

    I will be looking periodically to see if any of you found a way to resolve this matter.

    i have had the same problem i canceled my people pc 5 years ago and they are still taking it out of my account every month i have called and they tell me that it is canceled but they are still taking it out of my bank account every month if anyone finds a way to solve this problem please let me know
