Scott Anderson has called and said that I have until the end of the day to call or I would be served papers for a court matter.  He has left this message twice and still no papers.  Also, don't they know that when you're served with papers you're not give a "heads-up".  I have checked all three of the major credit bureaus and there is nothing listed with this name.  I fell into this trap once before and I think they found me again.  I owed a small loan and I made arrangements with them to pay it.  After giving them 425.00, the REAL company called me.  It was only after speaking to them that I found out AFG was a fraud.  I reported it to my bank and their fraudulent department investigated, I got my money back and now they're trying to attempt to scam me again!

Man called from 202-808-3318, said he was with Allied Investigations from Washington D.C. (convenient) and transferred me to another Lady by the name of Melissa Young. She tried to tell me that I had 4 counts against me for check fraud, stolen funds, bank fraud, and debt by deception for unpaid check loans. She accused me of just dipping out on paying or closing my bank account so I wouldn't have to pay and said she had a notarized statement from my bank confirming funds were deposited. She said that if a resolution could not be reached should would have to "sign-off" so that a judge could issue warrants for my arrest. I proceeded to tell her that this is not the first call like this I have received and that it's funny that when i google their # every results comes back as spam. I told her that I have recorded from my bank, that the check information they are giving me does not even exist, and that I accept no debt as I have no outstanding check loans. I further told her that I am well aware that bottom feeders such as herself buy up old debts (whether the debt was paid or not) and spend their days trying to screw people out of their hard-earned money. The woman said she did not have to listen to what I was telling her and d/c the call. SCAMMERS!!

AFG & Associates is no longer in business. This company was located in florida. Allied investigations is not the same as AFG and Associates. Just like Walmart and Kmart are separate companies. Thank you.

Know your rights before giving anyone any information.  No real collection agency is going to "threaten" to say they have legal documentation.  Also all of these calls appear to be coming from Spoof numbers.  I get calls all the time, actually for over 2 years now and I have yet to receive these bogus legal documents.  I have reported every single number to the FTC and I just started receiving calls again.  I owe no one so I just laugh but best believe if your fake a$$e$ is reading this I am sending every single number that calls me to the FTC and the Attorney General and keep it up, next stop FBI , I will not stop until you stop.  Its crazy because I know my credit report and have it monitored because of these wack jobs.  Get a real job and stop scamming people.  FOH.

When FTC shut down the Corona Scam, they started with consumer complaints, followed the phone numbers to the telecom carriers, got the full range of phone numbers used by all the offices, located all the addresses, tracked down all the bank accounts, and then filed suit in federal court under seal, so that the raids could proceed on the same day without warning even as the bank accounts were frozen.

One hint of what was in the works were a couple reports by consumers several months earlier, that they had been contacted by FTC to follow up on complaints they had filed.
