We are registered on the Do Not Call list, but getting repeated calls from 800-919-2345.  I' continue to follow their press X to not receive calls from them....Twice  I've press X to talk to a rep told them our number is Do Not Call registered - first time got an apology and promise to correct their list....

Got another call today, and again asked to be removed from their call list and the operator simply hung up on me.

What to do now ?!?

Same here, but I don't dare press anything, as I don't want them validating my number. How the heck do we stop these people?

The same SOB's call and call me, and call me, they will not stop never, my caller ID show me 800 SERVICE 1-800-919-2345.
The DNC registry service is a way to do business NOT TO PROTECT THE CITIZENS, if you guys pay attention to their policy they have the right to sell to any one who put the money in the table the hole entire Data Base State by State of the peoples phone numbers...multiply for $1.00 only, each phone number information they provide to SOB's ......a bargain tricky DEAL those marketing companies have....
For the moment the only remedy might we have is add the caller Id service to your Phone provider Service to identify whom call and don't answer any mysterious calls from peoples you don't know and recommend to your, friends, relatives, or peoples you know; call you only in determined time set up.
Please DON'T PRESS ANY BOTTOM and DON'T CALL BACK EITHER, this a huge mistake...............
Simple if you don't know the number DON'T ANSWER.

ACTUALLY WE DO HAVE RECOURSE: We can drive up their operating cost so high it's no longer profitable to cal from a toll-free #.  Here's how. Each and every time you come upon a coin-operated (pay) phone, just call, wait for it o connect and hang-up. The phone's service provider will bill them  no less then one-quarter dollar to put through the call. Maybe $0.25 doesn't sound like much but if we operate on the same SPAM premise they do, guess who'll soon be running a deficit. Not me and not you.

Additionally, since most cellphone plans offer text messaging (TM), configure a "REJECT" TM, to read  "You're now on another government list, telemarketer. Thank you for you call. PLACE THIS # ON  YOUR DO NOT CALL LIST!" When the goofs next call reject the call with that message. Should they continue to report the # to the FTC as well as your State's Attorney General's office. Document any continued calls on sites like this.

Should you think you've limited recourse?  Well you've more than you know. I'm a DC Fed Gov't employee so know despite what you might think of how useless government can be, you, even as but one individual, do matter and yes, you have an effect when you *aeffectively* make your dissatisfaction known. Thanks.

I just got a call from them and I did file the FTC complaint.  If I get to the point where they have a recording to leave a phone number, I leave the local number of the FBI.  I also tweet the phone number they called from.  I think it is time for the FTC to get some bite in its power.  There needs to be CRIMINAL charges, not just CIVIL penalties.  There also needs to a class action lawsuit by all the harrased victims and sue the pants off of the robocallers AND the company/person/slime mold that supplies the robocalling technology.  At least the FTC went after a few of those this year.  I proposed several years ago that Congress should make robocalling technology subject to licensing, bonding and TAXATION.  Think of the revenue that could be brought in say for a one cent tax per robocall?  Then it the slime mold doen not pay the tax, the IRS could go after them for TAX EVASION.  I bet they could do that now with these slime mold companies.  Just a thought to add to your suggestions.

I've been pulling something similar with them to drive up their costs.  They call several times a week.  I have pushed 3 to get off the list which is a joke because they just keep calling.  I pushed 1 once and told them when they asked if I was interested in getting my interest down on my credit cards that no I just want you to stop calling me.  They hung up.  I tried talking to them a couple of times to no avail and then tried something that at least brings a smile to my face and costs them some money.  Here's what I've done the last couple of times they called. They ask if I'm interested in getting my interest lowered - I say yes.  They ask if my credit card interest is 12% or higher.  I say yes 12-13%.  They apparently had a old address for me so I just started making up stuff including a fictitious address, a fake Master Card number (MC begins with 5, Visa 4, Discover 6) and made up my last 4 digits of my SS#.  They asked me how much do I have on my credit cards - I told them over $15,000 just to get them all excited and drooling.  They were so nice to me then!!  I also can't believe these goofballs ask for your credit card number - and expiration date - perfect strangers...everything I told them was fake, fake, fake.  But they had no way of knowing it at that point while they type away madly and treat me so nicely :o). I must have wasted a good 10 minutes of their time and was having a blast!  Yeah, I wasted my time too but it was so much fun, I don't care.  When they finally tell you that they need to verify your card information and address I say sure, thanks and stay on hold for about 10 seconds before hanging up. They thought they had a big fish on the line so you know they complained to their bosses and associates that they had gotten Punk'd.  If we all did this they'd really get PO'd!!!  Play their damn game - if you can't beat 'em join 'em!  It's fun!

They called me 4 times today from 4 different numbers, 2 cells, 2 toll free numbers...407-429-9999, 800-919-2345, 808-216-9287, and 888-393-5866, three calls were four minutes apart, the first was at 937am.  I am filing a complaint, however, after reading your posts, it scares me.  It seems that it will be difficult to stop them.  It amazes me as to the hundreds of different phone numbers they use.

Everyone should just curse into the phone when they call as we sadly have no help from our impotent government. The laws are useless and this office (I'm fairly certain it's in Florida as I once tried to trace a number and got close).

Just to mess with them, I actually pressed "1" when prompted.  After being on hold for a couple of minutes, the guy asked me if I was calling about the lower interest rate.  My response was what credit card was he calling about.  He rattled off that he was from Credit Card Services and represents Visa, MasterCard, Discover.  Then he asked me what I currently owed on my credit card(s).  I told him zero and he hung up.

Will this solve the problem?  Only time will tell.

    have fun
They will not stop calling you.  Just beat them.  Their game.  You win.  It is really fun to do.
First make up a name.  I use Bill Smith.  Just easy for me to remember and BS.
Tell them you have $33,000 of debt on 6 credit cards.  Oh my...  23.5% interest on one.  Oh my!
They will ask you who that card is with.  Say Wells Fargo Visa.  Or something you know off hand.
They will ask for the expiration date on the card.  Tell them you have to go get it and to hang on a minute.
Put the phone down and go on with your life.  Go back to dinner, movie, sleep, walk the dog.
Go in the other room, close the door pat yourself on the back and laugh out loud.
If you tie up "their" phone time, it costs "them" money.  They don't like that for some reason...
I am on the do not call list too so they want to play games?
    You win.  It's fun!

Always press 1 and get a live person.  Turn on the acting skills and make it sound like you finally are going to get some credit card relief and you are so glad they called you.  Try not to laugh or giggle.  Just so you know, they have no idea who you are or anything about you.  Let them ask the questions until you have to go get something for them.  That time will come.  Just wait.
Let them hang on and on and on, their profits go down, down, down....
The first time you do it, it's a rush.
I look forward to it now.
ALTHOUGH IT SEEMS TO HAVE STOPPED NOW FOR SOME REASON?   ARGH!
    I wonder why?
    Hmmm....?
