Brand new vaccum not working

I purchased a brand new dirt devil breeze vaccum cleaner less than a month ago. In the last two weeks it has quit on me during use and will not turn back on for several hours. This is unacceptable as I only have two carpeted rooms. A small living room and an average bedroom. It is also for bare floors. It quit on me in use on these floors as well.  The other problems I had with it is that the plastic and parts of the vaccum cleaner are very flimsy. The hose does not stretch well and the power/relase buttons are hard to push. I also found that the canister is nearly impossible for me to take apart and  put back together.  My husband had to do it for me and it was no easięr for him.
I have taken it back to the store where I purchased it and will not purchase another Dirt Devil. Furthermore, as an established product tester I am very dissappinted in the performance of this machine.
