Installer drilled holes right through my heating and air duct

The insaller ran the cable right down through my heat n air duct i am just now finding out 12 years later while doing some house repairs. All this time i have been loosing heat in the winter and air in the summer. Not only do i want it fix, i think i should be compensated somthing.
