I originally had my mortgage with CountryWide; but was sold to Bank of America. Since my Mortgage has been taken over I have had harassing calls to the point they had to remove my phone number (was removed three times and I was still receiving several calls saying my payment was late on the 3rd of the month and I had made the payment on the 1st. My husband became disabled and I was struggling to make my mortgage payments. I received no foreclosure statements; however, when I called to try to make arrangement to pay my mortgage I was told it was pending foreclosure. I was was told I could qualify for a home modification and by agreeing to attempt to home modification it would put a freeze on the pending foreclosure; a week later I received a letter stating I had one late payment and it must be paid by the end of the month or they would foreclose.  I had sent my paper work in twice with no contact from BofA. Every time I tried to call my case manager I received no answer and left a message. I even went into a local BofA and had them try to call and they could not get through to him or his manager. I began the process in November 2011. In May of 2012 I received a call from my case manager asking If I received the package and sent back to requested information. I was advised that my case may close if they did not receive the information by the end of the month. At the end of May I received a letter telling me that my case was closed. fell behind on my mortgage again in May and made two payments. I received a letter a week later stating that I was two months behind on my mortgage and foreclosure would occur if not paid by the 16th of June. Another week later (two weeks after my payment) I received a letter stating they applied my payment but still had one month payment due. I finally received my June bill (bill stating payment is due by June 1st) on the 11th of June. Now I have received another letter from BofA stating I have a new case manager. I am really confused...they can not keep track of payments or any paperwork. All businesses have a code of ethics/regulation they are to follow. BofA appears to not have either; why has the federal government not stepped in after all the lawsuits against BofA. I did not have a choice where my mortgage was sent; however, If anyone has a choice of banks to do business with; my opinion would be STAY AS FAR A WAY AS POSSIBLE FROM BANK OF AMERICA.
