Credit Card Scam
Complaint

Stupid me ordered some anti-wrinkle cream samples over the internet all I had to do was pay the shipping. I happened to read a blog about this company scamming people and sure enough they had charged my credit card - $200.00. I tried to call the number that was listed on my charge and guess what they don't answer, plus have not received any further product from my subscription. I called my bank and made a formal complaint and was advised to send an email cancelling my subscription and asking for a refund, which I plan to do. However if I am charged again next month the bank will not pay the charge, because I have made a formal complaint, and will cancel my credit card and issue me a new one. I will be more careful next time. Beware all!

You can't email them, the terms say you have TO call them. The phone number on the charge on my bank account, 888-840-7288, does nothing. Another cream I received was ordered on one of those pop-up screens that have "no thanks" in the tiniest letters at the bottom of the screen in a font so small and a color almost the same color as the surrounding, which came up after I ordered the anti aging serum. Fine, it was only $5.95.
So you also have to call that number and cancel that as well.
If you cancel within the first 10 days, they will cancel ONLY the full price of the trial. They will have you send back the mdse you didn't use, 20 days left, and then charge you yet another $9.95 fee. I said, I'll send it back on my dime, you don't charge me anything. They say, well you do have to pay for it to be sent back and we charge you $9.95 processing fee (no where in the Terms (they had me pull on the terms on an obscure URL named website) was this processing fee).
So you have to call within the 10 days after ordering, you have to cancel it and say you don't want the stuff. They offer an extention on the trial period to coincide with the ending of the "subscription" date, having to call in on that day to cancel the trial period, cancel the monthly continuity, cancel the membership, cancel them all together!
Be so careful, and be sure that you journal it all, and record your phone call, and make a subsequent phone call to confirm all of this.
And if they charge another month, I'll call my credit card and tell them I canceled it and they can deal with this firm.
I know after a decade long period of knowing to NEVER EVER click on these ads, I apparently needed a reminder.
