I also received this b.S. Email scam.....How can i get my ssn removed??? In fact how did they get in the first place??????? Can someone let me know!

I received an email like this as well. Have you ever taken out an online payday loan? I believe these people (based in India) have hacked into a database of individuals who have at one time or another taken out payday loans. It is a total scam but because they have your social security # you should report it to the IRS, credit bureaus and contact your bank.

How do you know they have your SSN? Or are they just saying something like "Your S.S.N is put on hold by the US Federal Government"?
It's a line of BS, typically included in scam emails sent by overseas scammers. If you entered your information into some scammy or fake "payday loan" website, such scammers may have it, but about all they appear to do with it is to use it to make threats.

Not sure but I called BBB and transunion credit and informed them I am on a 90 day fraud watch. Make sure you notify al govt authority so your not caught up in a scam.
