I WILL be suing that company to get my money back.  There are regulations they were to follow in taking my money and they violated regulations under the The Mortgage Assistance Relief Services (MARS) Rule.  You people out there look it up!  I was (and till am unfortunately) ill when I called for help (and they knew and took advantage of it also.  They scammed me out of 5K!!  I got a phoney letter in the mail from Homeowner Protection Alliance (HPA) (see their website at http://hpahelp.com) and they stuck me with Roosevelt Law Firm.  See all the videos on both Roosevelts and HPA's webpage.  HPA is a frojnt for Roosevelt.  And HPA does not give an address.  I was SCAMMED and will be suing in Small Claims Court (filing the first weekend in October 2016!!!)  You people out there that are seeing this before you 'work' with those pigs - DON'T DO IT!!  They are not doing anything you can't do yourself!!

Also, watch out for robo-call scams saying  “HARP” or “loan modification”.
THERE IS NO  “flagged” “mortgage account”.
    They are criminals attempting to extort money from consumers;

“Hello. This is Rebecca Simmons from the home mortgage department. Your mortgage account has been flagged by our department for the new streamlined modification initiative that was released August 27, 2013. This new program can lower your interest rate and cut your mortgage payments in half. If you have already refinanced or received a loan modification, you can still take advantage of this program.  Press “1”  to connect my call, or press “3” to decline this offer. Press “1” now to find out more information.  Thank you for holding. A customer representative will be with you shortly.”

    Contact your state Attorney General..
If they are falsely claiming to be attorneys, or they're not licensed in your state, your AG can hit them for unlicensed practice of law.  It they are attorneys, and they've taken money up front as payment for services, not performed them, and failed to hold the money in an escrow account, your AG and state bar can sanction and fine them for that.

unfortunately, most homeowners who don't pay their mortgage also have a sense of entitlement. So when you are a law firm that is dealing with such individuals, sometimes no matter what you do, you simply cant please everyone. I have a small business and no matter what i do for a small percentage of my customers, they will still complain. I have both been scammed by a modification company before, and have also been recently helped by one. The road goes both ways. However I also know that most people fall behind on their mortgage on purpose, and than blame others. You Lisa seem like the latter.

This must be Craig Goodwin, Compliance Manager for Roosevelt Law Firm trying to portray Roosevelt Law Firm as having "Common Sense."  Haha, we shall see who gets the last laugh (and it won't be you!).

I live in Texas and I googled mortgage relief and got in touch with hpa and they said they can help and I am close to a sale date on our home they I told me to file to for chapter 13 on my own to stop the sale of the house and that would get me time for a modification and not go through after all with the chapter 13 anybody have any advice out there.

I was told the exact same thing. These stories sound so familiar especially the one who said they talked to B. M. @ HPA. He also told me about Roosevelt Law Center in Vista Ca. But Roosevelt Law Center has an A- on BBB. I just thought about it. If HPA is a government program why would they involve a lawyer who charges a fee? I worked with a realtor once on a short sale and the bank paid her. I didn't have to give her 1 penny.

Mary, so smart you were!  I had my home up for sale and even had someone going to write up an offer when I was scammed and told "You can't be trying to save your home and have it up for sale at the same time."
HPA and Roosevelt are one and the same.  The HPA sucks people in and diverts them over to Roosevelt who takes in the money.  They submitted nothing to my lender, they knew it was just a matter of time before I would get foreclosed on, I was so dumb to actually believe them when they said they were paying my mortgage with the money wired to them and not to talk to my lender they would take care of everything!  Good God you can tell I was ill or either I was as dumb as a box of rocks!  Court and a lawsuit for FRAUD with punitive damages (the money I had into that little palace of mine that I would have had if I had sold the place.  I had an acute injury and  was pretty ill and lost my employment and then actually had a doctor intentionally harm me right at that time to shut me up on any malpractice suit I could claim.  I just don't believe this world I live in, but there are good people out there, it's just been a long time since I've dealt with any!

That is correct it will stop the foreclosure give you some more time with the foreclosure.  It Istay on your credit also.  You do not have to go all way through with it but it will  stop the foreclosure.  Don't forget to go back and drop it. Even though it was dismissed because you did not go all way through with the process it still stays on your credit bureau.

I googled how to save my home from foreclosure earlier in the year. I found HPA, spoke with Jason. He literally got on the phone with me AND my mortgage company and was able to finally get the [***] at the bank to admit that I was supposed to be receiving attention for help, and that they (the bank) had dropped the ball and my home was in foreclosure.  Jason at HPA worked for days to help me gather all the documents and organiz it so we could send it to Roosevelt to see if they could help. Listen, Roosevelt and a gentleman named WIlliam busted thier YOU KNOW WHAT to get my home safe and modified. I was, and AM so happy and satisfied with homeowner protection alliance and Roosevelt. I was happy to make a video and it is on thier site right now, you can see it. to this random person named Lisa Franklin, i don't see or read anything in your complaint that makes sense. reading it i kind of get the idea you maybe a little, you know, Crazy! I can't believe all this bad false talk about a company that has HUNDREDS of positive reviews on the BBB and so many videos, like mine. Anyone reading all the comments of this page and mine, should take a minute and do their search. Don't lose your home because some crazy lady or guy (who knows who is behind a computer these days) got angry about the mistakes she won't take responsibility for. Sorry for the long essay, i just feel some people are so quick to talk bad about good people and organizations online because they are cowards and psychos behind a keyboard. My name is Dawn, i am a real person!

Do not put Money into a loan modification. They will rip you off doesn't matter who it is. The best thing to do is going into bankruptcy chapter 13.
Once you file you will be protected and you get time to figure out your finances and rep ayment plan with mortgage company.  Also it stops any foreclosure. It's a good idea.

You did open yourself up to a scam Mariev!  Was told they were making my payments from the $$ I wired them and first time I heard of the name Roosevelt Law Center was when I was given the name and address of where to wire the money!  I was very ill (that is my excuse for being such a dumb ass!).  If you look at the around on their websites there is one for Homeowners Protection Alliance that lists the same address that Roosevelt Law PC had before going to Oceanside CA.  Roosevelt's address was same as HPA (Homeowner Protection Alliance) had down!!  Also if you call the Making Homes Affordable number they will answer with Homeowner Protection Alliance!  I was told do not contact the lender they will negotiate on my behalf and to send them the blank modification forms from my lender - told me I don't even have to fill them out, that they have all my info and will do the paperwork and then submit it to my lender.  They didn't do a damn thing.  They called my lender on 2 occasions and submitted nothing.  My lender told me I had been scammed right before I lost my home and all the equity I had in it.  Had it up for sale right before calling them and was told can't have it up for sale if I am trying to save it, so I took it off the market right when I had someone interested in writing up an offer.  Am suing for fraud and punitive damages.  Have legal help here in my state (Wisconsin) and will have them help me file every complaint there is (with attorney general, Federal Trade Commission, Better Business Bureau, etc.).
Love that heading above: "They Robbed Me Without a Pistol!!!"
Reema Nibber, James Waters (he is out of there now), Craig Goodwin, Lisa Taylor, Nancy Evans - these are just some of the con artists connected with the Roosevelt Home Protection Alliance Making Homes Affordable Law Center!!
Notice if you go to the website http://rooseveltlawcenterpc.com and under Attorney Bio, they just throw out the name Tom, no identifying information.  Well it is THOMAS MOORE, Lead Counsel as is stated on an authorization form I signed to enable my lender to talk with these feckless scam artists.  Yes, I do feel like a food, yes I do feel stupid that all this went down and I didn't see the forest for the trees.  Like I said, I will ill.  thank god there is a 6 year statute of limitations to file fraud and that I can prove the punitive damages!

I was completely devastated to find out that I not only put my trust in these people that bleed me dry! And screwed things up for me by filling 2 chapter 13 back to back due to their negligence. They even lied about the upfront fees I paid to the courts. A class action lawsuit need to be filled against them and make right the damage they have caused by their misdeeds.

Just had the most unprofessional and unproductive conversation with one of their lackies named Anthony. This kid was a first class [***]! He tried to intimidate me by saying I didn’t even know the correct terminology when discussing a Home Mod , so I was obviously too dumb to take this on by myself. What really tipped me off was when he said “ have you watched our videos?” it sounded so rehearsed and scripted. I called him out as a Shill for Bankruptcy and he started getting nasty. He said I was being disrespectful 😂 I could tell from his diction he was a So Cal snowflake who makes his living trying to scam people. He was an unprofessional little [***].
