Sent me an email staing garnishment started

I received an email from a Johnathan McNichols from the US Dept. of Management stating that they sent my employer a wage garnishment notice and that 25% of my wages will be taken. This is very nerve wrecking as they have my home address.  Can they do this?
I want this to stop seriously.

    Total fakes..
    Bunch of Indian scammers blasting out emails by the thousands with what they think sounds like legalese, trying to scare and con suckers.
    Ignore them.
