Hang-up call to unlisted phone number

I have an unlisted phone number for the reason that I do not want unsolicited phone calls... the same reason I have caller id. I want to prevent these kinds of calls and prosecute where-ever and when-ever I can. to prevent unknowing people from being taken advantage of.

    "BR INTERVIEWING" appears to be a telephone survey company.

    Unfortunately, Congress in its infinite wisdom exempted survey companies from the Do Not Call restrictions.

    Just hang up, get caller id, or tell them to cease calling you.  Or go to their website and notify them to not call your number.  They won't benefit from calling people who won't take part in surveys.

    What upsets me is these clowns call on Sunday morning.  In a way I hope they call back and I get to talk with someone...

    BR interviewing is a market research company and they are doing just that collecting opinions for their research. If you wouldn't like to give your opinion just say so, they're only doing their job

    BR Interviewing is not a marketing research company - and the callers are not doing their jobs.  There are far too many complaints about breather calls and hang up calls to be legit.  So telling someone that you don't want to participate is useless because the breather won't initiate the conversation.  For heaven's sake, don't leave your number on their amateurish website (which looks like it was made in the old folk's home to try to impress the great-grandkids....)  That's how they verify active numbers -- your comments are for their added amusement.  Government agencies, indeed....  Just hang up - or don't even answer.  They'll find another scam - they always do.

    They are not doing legitimate market research, and refuse to take you off of their call list.
    Their callers will hang up on you if you ask them questions.

      I work for this company. Yes we are a legitimate research company and yes we do honor do not call requests. If someone isn't putting you on that list in the company, they're liable to get fired for falsification.

        BRI does not honor the do not call list. I have told those people TWICE I was not interested, I'm on the do not call list & dont call my number again. They are still calling me so don't say they'll stop. Today they called twice. It's harassment !

    I suspect that this company is really a cover for collection agencys looking to verify your phone number.

    I get calls from these people and when I answer there is dead air... 609.279.0220. I am also on the do not call list and I have a unlisted number. I found out when you call Health and Welfare it shows up on there caller Id. HA HA ;-) IT'S A CONSPIRACY I TELL YA, IT'S A CONSPIRACY I TELL YA.

    As a current BRI worker, I will tell you the ONLY reason you are getting breather calls or calls "without an answer" is because of a delay on the phone lines. Nothing more....nothing less. Braun is a legitimate company (just google some of the research work we do), it's just some unfortunate (mostly technological) issues that get in the way. Give a little thought before just assuming.

    BR INTERVIEWING - Got 4 calls before noon today, 3 last night in 1-1/2 hours.  NOTHING REPUTABLE ABOUT THIS FIRM.  The excuses listed above by supposed BR employees is bulls**t.  They need to be closed down.
    They DO NOT take numbers off their call list when asked to do so.  They need a class action lawsuit filed against them.
