Threatening to file legal action and calling from unknown@emaildomain

Is this a Scam. I feel like if you are a legit company you would identify yourself so we could have an educated adult conversation. But this is threatening and without identifying information and there are so many scams l just don't trust it. If I was any of you I wouldn't either
