Harassing daily calls for a debt not owed...Claims a check bounced. We don't use checks. Claims we ripped off Amazon. Amazon knows nothing about this and continues to do business with us. Asked for info about transaction and was told that was private info. So you want me to give you money for a transaction that you don't share? Shaking my head. Think this is a scam.Lots of complaints and law suits against these folks.

    You may have FDCPA violations..
TRS Collection Services is a debt collector that guarantees and collects on bad checks or electronic transfers from transactions to their client merchants, including Amazon.
As such, they're covered by FDCPA, which specifically requires that they handle disputes and requests for verification of alleged debts, or cease collecting them.
They work with a sister company called Telecheck which acts as a credit reporting agency (like a credit bureau) to keep files on people with bounced checks.  They are covered by FCRA, which requires that they respond to disputes of errors on credit files.
You can sue debt collectors and data furnishers for failure to comply with FDCPA or FCRA.  You can sue CRAs for failure to comply with FCRA.

    Both companies are pretty arrogant..
They have consumer complaints of brushing off consumers disputing erroneous collection of unowed "debt", maybe misidentification, or maybe an error by the merchant.  Make sure they follow FDCPA and FCRA, and nail them for violations to force dropping collection of bogus "debt".  You can find a consumer attorney who handles such cases in your state through www.naca.net
