I'm sure this is a scam. It says not going to give me paperwork and they won't ask me for any!!!no phone number only email only. The email was Settlementdepartment.us@gamil.com. I did answer it with this reply:before any communication I need to be sent Debt Validation Notice.per FDCPA regulations. For all I know this could be a scam!!! Haven't heard back yet

    Yes, it is indeed a scam.  The fact that they did not send a letter, only an email from a free Gmail address, points to a scam.
