Heather Not Available

I was disappointed when Loren from Account Services called to help me lower the interest rates on my credit card debt.  Loren?  What happened to Heather?   The agent I spoke with told me that Heather is a American and is very much in demand.  To speak with her requires a $1,000,000 line of credit.   Likewise for Loren.   I assured the agent that, although I do not have the line of credit, I am wealthy enough not to need it.   He then hung up on me.

How many more of these calls will I get?   The callers have a way to spoof the caller ID feature of the telephone system, so you can't recognize the caller by number.   They claim to be based in Florida.   Is that the name of a city in India or the Philippines?

I feel sorry for the people working there.  Not only are they subject to abusive work conditions and poverty, but they go to sleep every night knowing that they are among the most hated people on earth.

Your best defense is to never, ever, answer a call from an 800 number.
