slimy business practices

I prepaid for a year of service. 3/4 of the way into the service they said their costs went up and I had to pay the difference. I said - that was not our deal. He said - too bad, I could either pay the difference, or what I already paid would be applied to the new price and my contract would then run out about a month and a half earlier than what I paid for. I said - that is unethical. Then he offered to refund the remaining part of my contract.

So, in a way, I was made somewhat whole (I opted for the refund - not gonna be comlicit in their unethical busness practices). But the rest of the story is that they were hosting an online store for me. I had about 5 days notice to move my store. So I got my money back but my store was offline for about a month (due to having to find another place and rebuild it.)

So, if you don't want this kind of hardship stay far away from AarcMedia Group (Vestal, NY). Their word means crap.
