Wow, so I bought 2 of Sportations Groupon hang gliding deals for me and a friend the other month. I'm trying to call them to schedule a time for this and redeem my Groupon, and when I call the 1-800 number, this is what happens:

I get 3 options:
1) People who bought Groupons -- if I choose this option, the system hangs up on me.
2) People who bought online or on the phone -- if I choose this option, the system hangs up on me.
3) Talk to a service rep about purchasing something from Sportations -- if I choose this option, the system takes me back to the main menu!

So I went to their Facebook page. There they give some 770 phone number that people can call "because of the high call volumes" -- which, if I call it, is NOT a Sportations number! It's just some dude who was confused because I was calling his phone! OMG!

I have sent them several emails over the last 2 days with no response. This has scam written all over it. I'm so bummed, I was really looking forward to hang gliding. What a disappointment. It was a lot of money too. Wow.

    You can probably get a refund from groupon

    Sportations is a scam
    Take your fingers off SPORTATIONS!! I pre-paid for a skydiving event that was cancelled. Took three months to receive the refund checks. And, when I tried to cash the checks it turned out that their account didn't even exist. Now I'm again fighting for my money. The whole issue goes on now for more than 7 months. Still fighting for a refund.

    They need to shut down and Groupon needs to return our money back...

    Disappointed.  Got to sportations through http://www.paraglidinginhartford.com, hoping to take an initial lesson, see if I fell in love with.  Wound up with a paragliding session, not a lesson.  Was stuck, no way for refund.
