Threatening fax for something we never had
Complaint

Country: United States
This company sent a fax to our company today billing us for advertising with them which we never did. They supposedly called our store and recorded an employee. I have since learned that they start this conversation with an employee as free advertising with the Yellow pages, updating our info supposedly. They somehow are able to make it sound as if you are agreeing to advertising with them. Since we are a very small store, advertising for $599 is never a decision we do without consulting with the owners. I made many attempts to reach "Lucy", her name appeared on the invoice, with no success, finally after calling 4 times I spoke with "Lucy" who was obviously from another country. I had trouble understanding her and then she plays this recording made by this employee that was doctored as evidence that we owed this bill, she then started threatening me. I ofcourse became increasingly upset. She hung up on me. I have since read that this company is fraudulent. I tried to call back many times, asking to speak with an American, sorry if that offends anyone, but when dealing with something like this I refuse to speak with anyone I have trouble understanding. Finally a man by the name of "Jake Green" called me back and immediately called me a racists, which for the record I am not, and was the meanest nastiest person I have ever spoke with. I was barely allowed to speak. This man again played this recording and informed me we "owed" this money. I again could not get a word in due to his badgering of me for being a racist because I wanted to speak to an American. It's supposedly an American company so why couldn't I ask to speak with someone from my country. I can not even remember all the things he said but it was awful!!!! He ended the call by hanging up on me. Then calls back and tells an employee we are disgusting! Then shortly there after sends another invoice. I immediately called the FTC and reported them, also filed a complaints with the Attorney General office and the BBB. I discovered because I became very suspicious when they acted so very unprofessional and were so threatening that this was a scam, I searched out this company online and they are exactly what I suspected, scammers! I am so glad I didn't make a payment because had I done that we would have been out money we can not afford to lose. Use caution if you receive a fax from this company, and report them to all those companies I listed above, from what I read after enough complaints they are forced out of "business".

Why don't you file fraud complaints against them with FTC, the NY AG, and the Postal Inspector, for "aiding and abetting" a fraudulent extortion racket.
