I am currently receiving magazines from Ebony and Vanity Fair. I called Vanity Fair to 1) find out which card was charged so that I could cancel it and 2) cancel the subscription. I was told that it was done by a third party company (Keystone Circulation) and to call them. The number that I was given 1-800-967-3363 just rings. I will be watching my accounts to make sure that no charges show up.

The line of illegality is crossed..
if and when they send you a bill for something you didn't order.  Postal regulations prohibit using the US Mail in a fraudulent scheme.  Postal regulations also prohibit sending a "solicitation" that looks like an invoice through the US Mail.  Any such solicitation that might otherwise be confusing must clearly indicate that it is just a solicitation and you have no obligation to pay.

If you get a bill in the mail for magazines you did not subscribe to, or something that looks like a bill, file a mail fraud complaint with the US Postal Inspector.
